The Tynor Taylor's Brace is a spinal brace designed to support and immobilize the dorsal, lumbar, and sacral regions of the spine. It features a lightweight design with anatomically contoured aluminum splints for enhanced stability, adjustable shoulder straps for a custom fit, and a horizontal thoracic splint to prevent upper torso rotation. The brace is used for posture correction and conditions like thoracolumbar injuries, spinal fractures, and osteoporosis.
Key features:
- Spinal support: Provides firm support and immobilization to the entire spine from the thoracic to the sacral region.
- Anatomically contoured splints: Removable aluminum splints are pre-contoured to maintain a neutral spinal posture and can be customized for a perfect fit.
- Adjustable shoulder straps: These straps provide a secure and personalized grip, help correct shoulder posture, and prevent the brace from loosening.
- Horizontal thoracic splint: A removable splint at the top of the brace helps prevent rotation of the upper torso.
- Comfort and design: Features a lightweight, breathable, and PUF-fused body for comfort, a hook-loop abdominal panel for easy fastening, and is available in different heights and sizes.
Common uses:
- Post-surgical recovery for spine surgery
- Spinal fractures and trauma
- Conditions like Kyphosis, lumbar spondylosis, and disc prolapse
- Osteoporosis and other spine-related pain
- General back posture correction
How to use:
- Customize: Stand upright and place the splints from the pockets on the brace. Adjust them to align with the spinal anatomy and place them back in their pockets.
- Wear: Put the brace on like a backpack. Ensure the lower edge is positioned correctly over the sacrum, about 3-4 inches below the waistline.
- Secure: Attach the horizontal thoracic splint, secure the chest strap, and then use the abdominal panel's hook-loop closure to fasten it.
- Adjust: Pull the straps to the desired tightness for a firm but comfortable fit and secure the shoulder straps to the abdominal panel.
- Note: It is often recommended to wear a light cotton garment underneath for comfort and hygiene. Avoid overtightening the straps.
